Complaints about the Chief Constable

The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner is the appropriate authority for all complaints against the Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police.

Once a complaint is submitted, the Customer Service Team will contact you within 2 working days in order to properly understand the complaint and to establish the best way to resolve it. This could include providing the complainant with an explanation, an apology if appropriate or, for more serious matters, it could include investigation and misconduct proceedings.

All complaints about the Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police are handled in line with Independent Office for Police Conduct Statutory Guidance. A copy of the guidance can be found here.
